I bought an OS 40 fp yesterday at a swap meet. I need to to order a venturi and NVA from Tower, which venturi? I know some use the small venturi on the LA46, does it work on the 40 fp as well? I also need to replace a broken plastic backplate on a LA46, does anyone have the Tower part # for a metal replacement? I did some research on it yesterday but the part number(40 fp part#) showed a backplate for a .21 car engine.

Curtis Shipp, a member here, sells machined metal back plates for the OS engines.  I have several and they are very, very nice.  I do not think Tower has had any of the metal back plates that fit the .35/.40 FP, the Tower .40, or the .40/.46 LA (same back plate for all) for quite a while.  I think they do still stock the .20-.25FP/.25LA metal back plates, and possibly the .15FP/LA metal ones.

I don't know if Randy has them in stock, he does have a lot of OS parts.. ???
