Title: OS .35 conrod interchangeability?
Post by: frank mccune on June 09, 2018, 03:29:48 PM
       Hi Again:

Will the conrod for an OS Max Stunt .35 fit an OS MAX III .35?

                                                                                                                           Tia,

NO ,  Ty is  right  about the  FP and  LA  35 40 46  using  the same  rod,  but  the older 35s you are asking about  do not

Oddly enough, folks have said that the Super Tigre .35C series rods fit the OS .35S. I have some of both engines, but haven't tried this myself. If I had some rods in spare parts, it would be easy, but all I have is whole engines. One other option is a Brian Gardner OS .35S ABC conversion, which come with a new bushed rod, IIRC.  H^^ Steve

The  ST 35 rod  does not fit, the  OS has a strange  .250 diameter crankpin, the  ST is metric,  you can  replace the ST bottom bushing  with a  1/4 inch bushing  and it will  work, the thin bushing is troublesome  , but as  is  NO
