Title: os 25 la r/c
Post by: rich gorrill on August 12, 2013, 06:44:16 PM
Is the 25 la r/c engine the same as the control line model with the exception of the Carb. I know you can buy the little gizmo that replaces the carb. I just wondered if the internals were the same. Their are a lot of r/c models for sale on the
Bay I hate to buy one and find it won't perform properly after the carb is replaced.

Thanks, Rich

Word on the street is that they come into the USA as R/C versions and get the venturi installed here. I'm not real sure I believe that, but the parts lists don't show any different part number, other than the throttle and venturi bits. You should be able to prove this to yourself here:  http://www.osengines.com/manuals/ (http://www.osengines.com/manuals/)   H^^ Steve

Everyone has told me they are the same and I've been buying RC engines and putting in the venture.  They work great.

Rich,I have a couple of them and all I did was to swap out the venturi and install a conventional nva.One of them had the remote needle broke off and I cut the other one off.It hauls my Brodak Buster around with authority.Trax
