O S 30 Stunt
« on: April 03, 2020, 02:00:16 PM »

I have been running an  O S 30 Stunt engine about 25-30 minutes with a 9x6 prop with out the muffler, today I am running the same mixture (25% C and about 5-6% syn) with about 3 oz of 10x22 fuel added, how much longer do I need to run it, and ..when would be a good time to use the muffler?  I hope that this makes sense... %^@ %^@ %^@ H^^ H^^

YOu do not  need  to run any longer, that engine  does not have a tight fit, and almost no taper in the sleeve, They require just a little breakin,  So you should be  ready to go, by the way that is a  really great little motor, strong  and  will fly a Nobler or Stiletto 35 size, They run great to

Thanks a lot Guy's, I am thinking about building a Magician for the engine and use a 10x5 or 10x6 A P C, what do y'all think??   Again thanks...

I ran one of those on a Banshee around 1975.  Thought it ran great, never had a problem.  Later used on a deBolt live wire Champion r/c around 1986, with no throttle or muffler and two channel control.

The Banshee was built by Kit Gerhart, a fellow that flew with Howard Rush and others in Virginia circa 1975.

Randy's comments about O.S. in that period match my experience.  Their typical offering in that period required minimal break-in.
