I dug out an old enya engine that I got someplace...  It was full of old dried castor but it had GREAT compression.  I took it apart, cleaned it. probably made a mistake, but I took off the rings and cleaned the piston.  Made certain I put the rings back on in the same grove and the same side up.  I lost about 1/2 the compression that I had.  Will it come back after I run it and the rings seat again?  Or should I just get a new set of rings for it and start over?  Thanks, B

You have leave it without the castor old varnish coat it had......really is a worn engine, but you can try running it on tne bench with all castor (up to 30%) for some high revs runs to let it restore the compression..... tell what happens please.
