Backwards engine
« on: February 19, 2007, 07:05:20 PM »
Had a sudden strange problem with my Enya 19 this afternoon.  It suddenly started running backwards, quite well, actually.  Funny thing for a rotary valve engine to do.  After 3 starts the lightbulb clicked and I checked the new prop.  If anyone can use a Zinger 8-5 LEFT HAND prop, send me your address and I will drop it in an envelope.

Years ago I used an Enya 19 in an original I did...   turned the front housing 90 deg, (can't remember which way...  ) and used a left hand prop...  Ran as well that way as forwards as best I could tell.....  Was interesting...     FWIW   ;D

In hobby shops, tractor and pusher props will get mixed up, making it real easy to buy the wrong kind.  I did that, and almost lost my thumb as a result.   :(  Glen
