Hi everyone. I have a new-in-box OS 46AX that I purchased of the internet. It is missing all the paperwork. HB~> If someone could scan them and email me a copy, I would greatly appreciate it. H^^ Any hints or tips on running this motor will be much appreciated as well.

Glenn,
Is this an R/C engine with a carburetor or has someone added a venturi and needle valve?
For a set up to start I would get a 270 diameter venturi with an aeroproducts needle valve assembly, add 1 extra head gasket (.008 thick shim), use a hot glow plug like an Enya #3 or a Thunderbolt R/C long, and start with a 12 X 4 APC prop. Should be happy in the 9,300 to 9,500 RPM range.
From there it will depend on how it reacts.

Hi Randy. Yes it has been converted to control line. It has three different sized venturies. I'll make a head shim and see what it does.
I read your reply in the other thread and it looks like I will be putting this one up for trade for an La.46. No sense in mucking around with it as I really don't want to make any ship bigger than the Spitfire. Even it is a tad bigger than I want....but its a Spitfire!! LOL
I want to thank you for your help. I never was comfortable with this engine as I couldn't find anything on her, so thanks for setting my mind at ease.

Glenn,
If you really want the manual, try os engines.com.
They have them in pdfs for more engines than even I thought they made.
Randy C's comments should serve really well, if you do want to use your AX.
