Title: My Super Tiger Stoped going Rich During Flight.
Post by: John Leidle on December 19, 2013, 07:21:55 PM
I have a Tiger .51 that has gone rich & perplexed me for 5 years. At least it's been sitting than long because of it. So Monday I took it out & it still did some of it ,I went home, lost the small venture, ( .177")  lost the Merco NVA , put in a .204" Venturi & a PA NVA.. all hints of misrunning are gone.

John, congratulations!!  Sometimes these things are just life's little mystery's. Next year i will start my first trials with a ST .51 on a pathfinder , hope i get it going like you did but hopefully it won't take that long.

John, does the spraybar go through the venturi, or is it going through the drawbar hole? Mine has a .285" venturi with the .157" spraybar through. Too small a venturi will mean not enough fuel, and not enough oil to make the engine "happy".   H^^ Steve

   Steve, the setup is a Trubore setup  I think I put a .209" W/spicket.
