Post by: Carl Cisneros on August 28, 2016, 09:58:59 AM
Folks;

Any one know if any of the Mufflers guys (their names escapes me. old age here) make mufflers for the older
ST 46 and 60 motors that do not have the mounting ears on the cases?

G21-46 and a V60 chromed

thanks in advance.

I have tongue mufflers that you can use with a small chrome radiator hose clamp , I may have a few untralite tube mufflers you can use on a ST st  51  46  with a strap
and I have a few new  Windy tongues  to use with a strap

Randy;

I dug around the motor parts, ect. I have here at the house and found a couple tongue mufflers that I was able to adapt (going with a radiator strap)
for the 46. I also had a new unused tube type muffler for a K&B 61 that I also adapted for the ST 61 Chrome engine.

Both mufflers work nicely and do not come lose and stay right where I got them.

Thanks for the tip on the straps.

Hi all.

If it helps, Merco mufflers are a perfect fit for ST 46 - 60 engines. The ones I have used worked perfectly, better with all internal baffles removed.

Kind regards.
