If it is a header type muffler put it near the back of the tube
If it is an expansion chamber muffler, it will not make much differance where you put it

While on the subject if you don't mind .
On a tank what is the best tube to put it on the top fill or bottom overflow tube ?

Hi Joe

I found it is best on a uniflow tube, If possible I would use a uniflow tank, If not possible I would use the bottom overflow tube

Joe

The uniflow is the tube you would be filling the tank through..if it is a uniflow tank
If it just has a tube straight out of the top and a tube straight out of the bottom it maybe a standard vent tank?
