An even easier way: open NV about 4 turns, prime in exhaust and start. Any engine will run on a prime, regardless of NV setting. Listen if engine stops rich, or leans out. Adjust NV accordingly. It isn't rocket science!F.C.
THIS METHOD IS SO EASY EVEN MY CAT CAN DO IT. Forget three turns out .Forget ST needles go 21 turns in. Forget set at factory. Are you now paying attention. First make sure the hole that the fuel comes out is clear. Remove the needle valve and put your finger over the needle valve threaded end and using a piece of tubing blow air through the needle body. Now you have the needle valve in your hand install in and continue to blow air through the needle valve until you feel it getting harder to blow in to the tubing. Back of the needle 1/2 turn and the motor will run. 90% of the time it will be dead on and not even need adjusting. I showed Eric V this 15+ years ago and Don my now flying buddy and they come to the field and flip the motor and it is ready to fly. I watch guys spend 1/2 hour trying to get there motor to run and I show them this trick and the motor starts right up. It works Ed
