Title: More test stand time
Post by: YakNine on November 21, 2012, 06:02:03 PM
I had a few days off after working round the clock after hurricane Sandy came calling for 2 weeks . I decided to give one of my fox 35's that was giving me fits a new ST needle valve and a new glow plug worked wonders, I want to thank Marvin Denney for explaining back flipping an engine , my fingers are especially happy with this process! I am a 1\2 a retread with mostly Cox experience and they probably would have run backwards if you tried that. I have a milk crate of engines that I am trying out and having a blast getting them running again. Thanks again Mr. Denney, T.J.

I did some more running today I ran a 15 x fox, veco 19bb, a 4 bolt head Veco 35,And 3 Fox 35's my 68 with a Fox hemi kit liked the muffler a lot more than the mid 70's engine with the muffler lugs. The old Veco really surprised me it is a real stout engine and packed some real pulling power, I need to cut some new gaskets for it as it was blowing castor bubbles at a lot of its gasket joints. All the engines are headed for planes except the 58 fox and the old veco the Fox needs some teflon pads or something on the wrist pin to keep it from wearing into the liner and the Veco 35 is probably going to be displayed in my office for now. I gotta get some more needle valves, props and glow plugs I got a bunch more engines to try out. Having a blast T.J.
