A good few years ago, there was a German connection with Moki. There was a split and Moki continued to produce their range in Hungary while the German Moki company manufactured larger engines in Germany. Have no idea if the German company is still active.

Andrew.

Bob Davis of Davis Diesel Development is credited with bringing the first Mokis into the country. Moki like a lot of eastern satellite countries still hadn't learned western business practices like actually honoring contractual agreements and they went through a few start ups till Gerard Enterprises took the line on. He had it for quite a few years but it seems that the Moki is no longer a Moki but sold under another name in this country and only the 3 large displaement engines are available.

Too bad, the Moki 51 was quite a nice stunt engine!
