Actually, true revolution started with Robbies following version with integrated liner.
Imagine if stunt people were equally smart, where would we be now..? ;)

Probably about where you are with what you're making :).
The original version of the FMV story can be found using the Wayback machine at http://web.archive.org/web/20090720092910/http://home.wxs.nl/~wakke007/fmv/fmv_1.htm but a graph on page 2 went AWOL.

Oh no, Brian. At this moment I can just say that I have the most fundamental issues sorted out and I somehow understand them. But now it's time to focus to the fine-tuning and acoustics.
I wish I had 2 heads and 6 hands..
Small correction; the picture in Matt's post seems to be the integrated cylinder version, article still is about iron piston/steel drop-in liner version.
Bugl certainly wasa great innovator and machinist, but clearly he lacked important understanding about metallurgy. L
