Title: McCoy Red Head 35 plug
Post by: Richard Fleming on April 24, 2022, 04:18:19 PM
I ran a batch of used McCoy Red Head 35's today for the first time. I'm used to Fox 35 Stunts and always ran a long reach hot McCoy or a hot Fireball plug with good success. One of the engines ran very well with a long reach plug with an idle bar and that's what was in the motor when I got it. What plugs have you found to run well on the McCoys? Richard

I myself have used K&B Long reach idle bar and open faced.   I think I'm out of Fox long reach both styles.  Now I use what ever plug get the engine going and keeps it running. D>K

Same here (K&B Long Idle).  That was all we could get during the years when I was into McCoy abuse and they worked great.

Thunderbolt long RC idle bar plugs work well in McCoy's. Other hot plugs should work just as well. Sonic plugs work also.

I am running Fireball standard long reach plugs. And 5% nitro - 29% all castor oil. Engines run great.
