If I want to run a McCoy 35, what % oil content should I use to be safe. Right now I'm running Fox 35's on 28%. I tried some in the McCoy and it runs pretty good. I'm gonna try the McCoy in a VECO Thunderbird.

Hey Phil,
What I have seen suggested for the McCoy is the same as for the Fox 35, 25-29% castor. I feel sure you will get further input on this from those with more experience in this area.
Cheers,

28% Mostly castor should be fine in the McCoy. I would not go less than 25% castor, and about 5 or 10% nitro seems to work fine. I generally run 5% nitro in the McCoy 40's, and 10% in the 35's.

thanks folks.

Treat this thing just like a Fox 35 and it will work just fine.

I agree with what has been said, totally. As of late, I have not been able to get 29% all castor, but I can get Sig 10% nitro and 25% all castor. I add an ounce of Randy's Aero 1 oil per gallon and it works great for me at this altitude, etc..
I use a Red Head 29 in OTS and a Red Head 40, 35, and 19 at various times in Classic.

If you want custom mixed fuel at "normal" prices per gallon call Randy Rich at 713-661-5458. Randy will mix anything you want and not charge you an arm and a leg. He hauls my years' supply of fuel to the Toledo show each year and I've used nothing but since 1990 with great results. (Some of that has been 28% all-castor.) And remember, he's cheap by comparison to many of the others.
Blessings,
Will
