Has anyone used Maxima 927 castor/synthetic oil for homebrew fuel? http://www.maximausa.com/product/castor-927/
I called the tech line at Maxima and was told that it is 60%castor - 40% synthetic and that it works great blended with nitro and methanol. Very light amber in color, not bright red like Klotz.
I have read on other RC forums that it works well, but we stunt folks are picky. It would be very convenient if it is suitable.
In the 2 cycle motorcycle and quad world, it is a very popular choice.
Any thoughts?

Yes, I use it. It's a very good oil. Thanks for confirming the castor %, I was not sure so I have been mixing it 1:1 with Fuchs Arosave synthetic. I'll try with only 927 and see what happens, my ring should tell quickly if it needs more synth in mix.
To me it came from team racing people, and they say it's good. Very little carbon deposit. Actually so little that they add some Klotz Benol castor in the mix to get that healthy tan in piston.

I looked at the price of it a year or so ago and thought it was pretty spendy. But then, if it's better for your engines, it's money well spent! y1 Steve
