magnum gp 44
« on: July 29, 2009, 06:41:39 PM »
I have an engine a magnum gp 44. Is it actually a 44 or is that just a number on the casting. It looks like an fp 40. How do they run? Thanks for the info.  George

Hi George

Yes they made a GP 40 and a GP 44  ,I setup maybe a 100 or so of the 44s, they run very well, but you need to have one with a good piston sleeve fit, many people across the country used them, I think I did several for Dale and Derek Barry, they liked them.

They were made by the Thunder Tiger factory, private named for Magnum  before they went to China

Randy

I have a 44 from Dale and Derek.  Very nice running engine! (it has been reworked, probably by Randy)
