My square head Magnum is a touch lighter, and friendlier for a stunt run, when both are in stock trim. Plus they are a little cheaper. I see many more of the Magnums in use for stunt than the TT's.
Now if you want the "Mac Daddy" 36 size stunt engine, get an Aero Tiger. A specially timed AAC version of the TT 36 built by Randy Smith. One of the all time great stunt engines.
I understand Richard makes an AAC Ro-Magnum, but I have never seen one in use around here.

Hi Ken
The Thunder Tiger is a much much higher quality motor, the fits are always much better on the Thunder Tigers ,both Magnum and TT 36 can be good stunt engines, the Magnum is a little cheaper but suffers from terrible stock bearings, Both engines have to be converted over to CL, as they are only made in R/C form.
The Thunder Tiger will normally last longer than the Magnum, and has a bigger front bearing and the same head bolt size as an OS 46 LA instead of the tiny 2.5mm that the Magnum has.
I sell the Thunder tigers about 2 to 1 over the Magnums, however both of these are a really great buy, for what you get.
I have built hundreds of both of these engines, and if you go with the Magnum it would be a good idea to put in decent bearings at the start, you will make for a longer lasting stunt engine, and they are priced really low, so you can do that very easy and still not have much money in a very good stunt engine, for me this is a much better buy for your money than a 40LA or equivilent plain bearing engine.
As a side note Dondi garrison won 3 NATs championships, with a Thunder Tiger 36 /VECTOR 40 combo ,and put over 1200 flights on the motor before he just completely wore it our.

Randy
