Title: Magnum 36 bearings
Post by: Mike Scholtes on April 02, 2017, 02:38:53 PM
I have a square-head Magnum 36 about 10 years old, bearings have gone bad. Did a search on here but nothing I could find is very recent. Seems to be general agreement the stock bearings are lousy. Anyone done a bearing replacement themselves, and if so how tricky is this particular engine to get apart?

Who is a good source of replacement bearings for the DIY-er?

And for Randy Smith - What would it cost to have you replace the bearings? I see years ago you were doing a lot of this due to said lousy stock bearings. A lot easier than me shopping for bearings and doing it myself.
