I have an older O.S. Max .15 She is older probably 70's. It's never been run. It's set up for R/C and I'm wanting to switch it over to control line. Here's my problem. I took the ventrui and NVA out of my newer LA and it won't fit the Venturi O.D. is too small and the NVA O.D. is too big. The part numbers for the correct NVA and Venturi are 21512205 Venturi and 21511000 NVA. I'm kinda stuck here because O.S. doesn't support engines this old. I've called a few older hobby stoes to see if they have any NOS stuff but no luck. Any help would be seriously appreciated.
Thanks Nathan

Almost forgot the correct NVA O.D. is .120

There is a dealer on ebay by the name of robinare that specializes in out of production parts. He might be ableto help you.

Thanks dennis I'll try that out

I just took a look and for some reason that seller is not listed. Ughh Ebay can be goofy I'll try again later
-
I'd check with Randy Smith or Lee Machine, Both are in the vendors corner
-
Just do a search on ebay for needle valve there are all kinds of them I just bought one for a OS 10 and I know I saw a I 15 there as well.
-
Yeah I've tried Ebay all I can find is FP and LA parts. Mine being different I was hopeing somebody might know something that'll work. I can drill the block but the fp la venturi won't work either.

That's probably 3mm, 0.118 inches.
Now, if you can just find one...

I mounted the engine to the plane and made a linkage for the rc carb to stay open. She went through two tanks of fuel so far in the break in. She sounds real good. I can't wait to be able to needle it and see what she's got.

Nathan, is this the engine with the black steel fins or the all aluminum case? I may just have a venturi for that engine if its the steel fin version. I will have to double check. I don't have the spray bar or needle though. Ken

Nope she's aluminum. I appreciate you trying though. I'll post a picture of her.

Sorry I got the name wrong. Try Robair 81. He is from Canada and has an extensive list of parts. If you don't find it contactt him directly. he might be able to help you.
Dennis`
Oh the needle valve assembly from the OS15 steel fin should fit.

Kenneth, If you stumble upon that venturi and you have time could you measure the O.D. were it fits in the block? This is were my LA venturi was wrong the OD was too small
-
I'll check the junk barrel ! I won't have the venturi, but may have the NVA.

I appreciate you looking Marvin. I'm sure I'll find one somewhere.

LOL nope I'm kinda ignorant of the hierarchy of control line flying. I'll edit my post. No disrespect was intended.

Do you have a carburetor? You can measure the OD of that if you have calipers.
Alternately, if you know someone with a drill index full of letter-size (or metric) drills, you can try them out in the bore (use the back side of the drill if they don't taper) to get size estimate good enough to identify the thing.

I postaed the o.d. Of the NVA the venturi I did not. I just broke the nva off the carb yesterday. So now I have to get something lol dag gum inverted flight. I still don't have the knack of it. The planes over at my dads right now but I'll post the size of the venturi opening of the block when I get over there.
