Thanks, kinda embarrassing I really should remember this stuff...lol Anyway I was gifted this beautiful T-Bird with a enya 29, I'm using a Brodak uniflow tank that is on the engine beams, due to the cowl I might not have room to shim the engine, if not it means somehow shaving the beams, any ideas?

It will be interesting to see what others suggest. I'd go with taking a dremel to it and gouge out a lower home for the tank, then possibly sister on some more beef to the beams if you end up taking a lot. Is that a balsa floor between the tank and beams? That could be the first to go.

No the tank is on the beams. :-[

Open up the tank and move the uniflow vent lower.

IF what you need is very little and you have the hole of the NVA in A position of the drawing, you can turn the NVA and bring the hole in B position .

Interesting ideas.
The custom tank with lower pickup / vent might just work.
Moving the outlet of the NVA also might work. Depending on how much movement is needed, arranging where the hole in the venturi goes by drilling a new hole in the venturi itself could be considered, perhapos combined with tapping the case for a set screw.

That should do the trick.
Thanks Bret

When all else fails I would " consider " raising the engine or making a thinner tank.

Curious as to why moving the vent is suggested vs. moving the pickup.

Moving the uniflow vent up or down will effect your engine run, I set my clunk tanks up the same way, that way you don't have to raise or lower the tank you simply move the uniflow tube up or down, I thought about using a clunk tank for the T-Bird but didn't have enough room.
