I made a mistake and made my nose cowl too long dang it, I put the the spinner plate and prop on and crap its aprox .010 too long, the plane is finished, any suggestions to shim the drive washer.015 without having to sand the finish.
You guessed I'm a rank amateur, wanted a nice tight fit, got it too tight.

Take a piece of course sandpaper and make a washer out of it. Placed on the shaft it should be thick enough to give you the clearance that you need . I've used this fix a few times over the years.

My personal preference would be for a D washer behind the prop driver - fiddly to make the centre cut out though.
