Is the LA 46 a good replacement for the ST G51?  Not worried about bolt pattern    Just performance.

Not even close.  They're completely different engines.  The G51 will fly most .60 size planes, while the LA 46 is more of a .40 on steroids.

The  Enya SS50 is the best ST G51 UPGRADE!. It has the same size and same engine mounting holes of ST G51. However the Enya SS50 is a lot lighter then STG51 and lot stronger!

You can use a cheap APC 12.25x3.75 or APC 13x4.

I have tested this engine with no pipe with 12.5x3.75 3 blade CF prop and it performed amazingly well stock.

The Supertigres a detuned 1.6 horse 2 16000 rpm  wadio injun . The OS isnt .

The K&B 40 mounts similar . The COMO 51's the same - bar 1/8 shorter nose .
these come up s/h regularly from the radio types . Though youve got to have the
Early plug in head ringed one . p.d.p. baffled . 40s same . were a few ABC baffled .

if the writing & head arnt identical , its the wong won . ABC stamped on side of lug , for abc ones . much like a late ST V60 ( lite ) K .

intakes as per 60 lite & G-51 . DONT get the ' S ' on the bypass unless you want a schneurle .

Brickhaus ran a 40 in a Miss Dara profile ( Flying Models ) with a .16 sprinkler venturie it sais , & I think a 11 1/2 ex. 12 x 5 .

there both 40 & 51 identical bolt pattern to the G 51 / G 40 / G 45  etc .
