What is this engine?

I got given 2 of these by a friend. They have no writting any where or size. He thinks they are repro of some other engine. I have no clue. The spinner is made of very thin fiberglass (or CF)and the back plate fits on the whole thrust washer sitting against it. The back plate for the spinner is very thin so the prop has no load on it. All the load is on the thrust washer. Any clues? H^^

Hi Rafael,

I cannot give you a name for the engine, but it appears to me to be one of the Ukraine (or other ex-Soviet) made engines.  There have been a lot of those and some were even called "homemade", but they all seem to be very good running engines.

I hope someone can give a definite identification!

I agree Bill, it looks to be a long stroke, single bypass port, baffle piston type of thingy made from recycled tank parts!

I would guess that they are in the .50-.56 range since that seemed ot be very popular a few years back with those engine makers.  Kolesnikov flew a "homemade" .54 in his KA-8 and KA 10.

Well, I have two. One is brand new (the pictured one) and the other has been run. I will take the one that has been run and measure the bore, stroke. Just for curiosity, I'll post photos of the stuff inside... Maybe one of the folks from across the water will recognize the make... I may use the one since I have the new other for spare... Thanks guys H^^
The problem might be if they are "REALLY" nice and I want some more  HB~> HB~> HB~> Could have been prototypes HB~>

Here is another but out of focus a little. It may  will help. They seem to be around .60 sized but anything goes until I find out the bore/stroke...

Well done Bill!!! The guy that gave them to me in turn they were given to him.  LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~. And that guy was an model engine collector. Since he could not trace them for his collection, (mega collection, lives in Thailand, was a jockey) hr gave them away. They are from the new Ukraine and were in full production (back plate has a teflon gasket that fits perfectly). However, no info. HB~> HB~> HB~> I hope it runs as good as it looks
The machining is incredible. Everything fits like a glove. They are .59ci.  LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ Bore .91in and stroke .907in. ABC, Single bypass with a nice hemi. SUPER conn. rod!! y1
I should post some of the photos from my Avistar's rod... :-\
