Hi ,
A friend of mine has a K&B .35 Stunt and was asking me if it was a good engine ?
It looks like it's in good shape , but I've never , ever had a K&B product before .
Any opinions ?
Thanks :)

Hi all.

Diferent engines.

I'm guessing it's the Stallion (long prop driver).
All over natural aluminum (polished).
No dicernable markings that say "Stallion"
Spoked rear cover with allowance for pressure port.
Thanks for help y1

Hi Rob:
In the early 1960's K&B built a 35 in the same generic case as the 40. That is the exterior was all aluminum, bolt-on front case, it was possible to reverse the center section of the block to reverse the exhaust. Venturi was a large trumpet shape with (I hink) an insert to sleeve it down for suction fuel feed. I believe it said "Torpedo" on the case on the side opposite from the exhaust. Not sure but I think it was also available in plain bearing ro ball bearing.
Does that description sound like your friend's engine? Any way to post a pix?

Hi Rob
It would be good to see a picture of the engine, It maybe a Stallion 35, I had several of them and was not impressed by them as a stunt engine, they as more of a sport engine or maybe a slow combat motor, I used a couple of them on slow combat planes back in the 70s

The Stallion 35 has a shiny aluminum case and steel fins(part of the cylinder). The Series75 35 also has a shiny case, but is built with a bolt on, plain bearing front end and a modified Torp 40 main crank case. They also built a double ball-bearing version of the Torp series 61 and 64, with a separate front end and a matte finished case. That was more of a racing/combat motor.
If the front end bolts on it is not a Stallion, which was a pretty good sport engine by the way. If the front end bolts on it can be either the plain bearing Series 75 or an older Torpedo series 61 or 64

Ok ,
My pal set me the photos you asked for ...
Hope this helps ?

That's a Series 75. Plain bearing. Will likely need a venturi restrictor to run on suction.

IMHO, they make a better racing engine than stunt engine.

Hi ,
Just an addendum ...
This motor has been stripped for cleaning and is in great shape .
It also has a Dyke's piston ring .
