Has anyone used a Webra Silver line .40 in U/C?

I have two of them new and blue printed but, haven't flown them on anything. My take is they make less power than a Brodak 40 and they are heavier so maybe a good sport engine. That being said they are high quality manufactured with hardened sleeves.

I bought one after I read the review on Sceptre flight site. It has beautiful machining with quality metalurgy. I just need to put a venturi on it with an ST spraybar.

I think they came up periodically in old World Champs Reports , etc .

Think 11 x 6 was ' the go ' . Probably Ideal for something like a T Bird II .

A lot of them wouldve been ' Pre muffler ' days .  VD~ S?P

Its good to see parts available. The muffler bolt spacing is exactly the same as the OS LA 40. ;D

The piston has an anti rotation pin. The ring climbs up the pin and it wears out the ends of the ring real quick. I don't remember if I removed the pin or just drove it in all the way but it's unnecessary and needs to be gone.

I did a test. My Brodak 40, factory muffler (with .360 restrictor insert) turned 12,800 and is 240 Grams. The Webra turned an 11-4 at 12,400 rpm and is 330 grams with muffler (factory muffler is very light).  So, a bit less power and 3+ oz. heavier.

I setup several  years ago, not impressed  they are heavy and don't run well in anything  but a  wet 2 cycle, if wanting for stunt, there are better choices
