Title: HP .40 SS front bearing seals?
Post by: frank mccune on October 22, 2020, 10:51:31 AM
      Hello:

Should I leave the seals in or remove one or both?

I make no claim to be an expert engine person but the front seal is alleged to keep dirt out and the rear seal removed for lubrication. In my experience using a front seal on two 60 size rc engines has resulted in shorter bearing life (compared to many others without front seals).

Remove one seal and install the bearing with the remaining seal in front.
