I've been using this hiking fuel bottle to carry small quantities of diesel fuel to the flying site. Very inexpensive and it has held up well so far this season. Can be got from both Amazon and Ebay.

The original MSR cookstove fuel bottles are known to work.

Anything that's polypropylene is good.

I have used msr brand fuel bottle for f2c fuel, I have used fuel stored in these bottles for two years and the fuel was still good. Also no smell after the bottle even when in a hot car.
