I have a High Zoot Fox .35.  It is bitchin.  It has an ABC piston and sleeve.

What is the setup for these?

I also have what appears to be a standard L & J ABC Fox 35.

What is the difference between the High Zoot, which has a single window exhaust port and the L & J with a double window exhaust port?

The Fox ABC liner has a two window exhaust port, presumably to help keep the sleeve straighter during manufacture.  The standard steel sleeve has a single slot for the exhaust port.  That might be your difference.  The ABC motor doesn't need a special crank.  The aluminum piston is light enough to make the engine very smooth with the stock crank.  It should use the stuffer backplate and maybe the special head.

SIG Champion 15% nitro + 2oz of castor, 10x6 APC. The only plug that worked for me was Super Crazy Hot one that RO sells. If I remember correctly, steel one has the high zoot crankshaft. ABC should have regular one balanced and trued up to L&J standards. Steel one had 1 gallon of fuel properly broken in as per Larry Foster's instructions. ABS one only had a half a dozen runs but from what I understand, they don't need as much breaking-in.

The crank shaft fit is what I have been told takes the longest time to get broke in on a Fox 35.  The piston/sleeve (compared to the crank fit) wears in pretty quick I am told.

SCCCHHWEET!!!  That is my fuel. 

That is a Merlin 2004.  You can get them from Brodak and direct from Merlin.

Al makes this one even hotter, too.  The element is very thin though and fragile.

Did you try the Merlin 2009 or the OS F?

Can you educate us on what Merlin plugs are? I've seen the ad and the website but there is nothing that explains their codes. There are several "Hot" plugs:2003,2004,2005 and 2009. What's the difference between them?

The 2004 is the hottest plug with the smaller chamber hole (this the RO plug).
The 2005 is just slightly cooler than the 2004 with a little bit larger hole.
The 2009 is a "hose nose" 4 cycle plug like an OS F or Miracle Plug.
The 2004 and 2009 use the same small hot wire.

Al (Mr. Merlin) makes the 2004 with an even thinner hotter wire.  It is called the Brodak 1/2A plug.

I recommend these three very highly.  More to come.

Read the post again. Both engines are ABC's, but with different exhaust ports. My guess is that one is a Fox ABC, and the other is one of the Commie ABC's that Dirt brought in and sold by GMA. Unless BriStunt has made an ABC for Fox .35's, or it's a Tony Cincotta Plasma setup? I just don't recall if these were made for Fox .35's.  D>K Steve

OTOH, GMA always 'signed' his engines, at least on the head, and also on one lug, as I recall. I don't know about L&J and the rest of the tuners, whether they mark their products or not.
