hey guys, I was hoping that someone might be able to help me out.
I recently bought an old 70's pattern ship, with a 45FSR in it. I really only bought it for the engine, as the fuselage and wing appear to be made from cast iron.
It had been hanging from someone's roof for the best part of 20 years, and as a result seems to have corroded the throttle barrel in the carb. So much so that it crumbled when I cleaned it.
I was hoping that someone may have in their boxes of bits a throttle barrel for an OS 4B carb.
If you have something I'd love to hear from you.
Cheers

Greg, I'm not that familiar with OS RC carbs, 4B or otherwise, but I've got a spare one from a 25 FX. You're welcome to it if you want it. Shank diameter is 1/2" or thereabouts.

I have a carb off an OS-40H, it is marked 4A.

Greg,
I've got one. It's an OS 4BK that I broke the neck off of years ago. I replaced it with a Perry carb and the engine still runs like new. I've attached a blurry picture and if this is what you want, send me a PM with your address. It's yours for no charge.

I will dig through my parts,,
however,,,,,
what was the pattern ship? I know a guy who is molding the older designs to remake them,, he may be interested if its a popular design,,,there were not many 40 sized pattern ships around

Mark, it resembled a Cresent bullet, but the wing planform was wrong, the bullet has a double taper wing, and this had a straight TE, so I'm guessing it's a bit of a mixup.
Considering the fuselage looks like it was layed up in 16oz chopped strand mat, it's not something I would expect from any proficient fibreglass fusealge maker.
Shame really.
Paul, perfect, I have a good body, and a mangled barrel, you have a mangled barrel and a good body! Together we can carburate!
