Is there a source for glo plug gaskets, or the material to make? I have not located a supply source.
Thanks,
David

There are 2 sources that i know of/ The first is Fox Motors. I bought about 100 of them when I placed an order awhile back. The other is Dubro sells a pack of 8 and they are available from Tower Hobbies

Hope that this is of some help

This thread reminded me of a question. Should glo-plug gaskets be replaced every time the plug is loosened/taken out for inspection, etc.? I don't replace them, as I don't keep enough on hand to do that. Thanks.......Glen

The real question here should be "Do you know how to install the glo plug gasket?"
There is a right side up, and a wrong side! Note that the plug has an angled chamfer just above the threads. The washer/gasket also has angle built into the material (sort of like a little cup). The cupped portion should fit the chamfered angle on the plug so that the gasket fits snug on the plug.
Most often installing it upside down wont cause a problem, but it is possible to get leakage here with a corresponding loss in compression.

Thanks, Ward, I wasn't aware of the cupped shape in the gasket. Shows you how observant I am. Let's see, how long have I been using glo-plugs; 40 years? HB~> Duh..............Glen

Fear not Glen, you are not alone. But you may be the only one man enough to admit it! b1

One buck gets you ten. What a deal!

And what does the % of nitro have to do with the type of use for the plug?
