Title: Glo Engine timing
Post by: Phil Coopy on September 12, 2008, 07:15:41 PM
I asked this on the open forum with no results so I thought it might get a response here.

Glo engine timing is most likely a black art but, is there a primer out there somewhere where I can learn something about it?

There was a book published 50-60 years ago titled, "Model Engine Design and Construction" which had a couple of chapters devoted to timing. I sent it to Henry Nelson so he could get his engines to run right . . .<Giggle>

Phil,
The book by Dave Gierke on "2-Stroke Glow Engines" has some good stuff in it. Not sure if it is exactly what you want, but I learned a lot from it.

Ditto. This book removes the magic and makes it pretty clear.
