Any experience on nova rossi engines would be helpful

You would be  much better off  getting  an engine made for F2B  rear exhaust  or  one  that is proven to work well, you do not  want to run
high  RPM  speed  engine  in F2B , there  are  many available at near  1/2 the weight, in  61  65  75  77  size  all around  12 ounces

I have run the Speed 13 RC version with pipe....11x7 APC prop turns 15,800 rpm when tuned for max rpm, APC 11x8 was 14,800 :)

Oh, BTW, the engine alone weighs 22 ounces.

The Nova Rossi .61 might have potential for 10cc or "Class D" speed, but even for that, it's too heavy.  D>K Steve

It's a shame Rossi doesn't make a nice stunt engine. Not enough market I guess.

It'll be fine until you fly it. You are going to fly it, right?   ??? Steve

Steve,

Just saw your reply.

Yes, I will absolutely fly this model. And every other one I have built.

Certainly I take a bit of bashing about my "non interest" in flying and it is a non interest. I fully understand the bashing but I can't do anything about it.

Saturday is the day my group flies, I sometimes work that day when I can because I need the money. BTW, I flew my Ringmaster only a few weeks ago.

I will fly all the models eventually one at a time after I bench brake in the engines. All the engines in my models are NIB except for the Flite Streak, Pathfinder and the bashed Super Ringmaster. I have stuff to fly.

I might just start with the GBR3. It is my favorite model and I'm quite familiar with the brake in and running of Rossi R/C engines.

I just take it a day at a time and see how each day goes.

FYI. I have progressed quite a bit on the GBR3. Check out the build at CFC Graphics vendor's corner.

You've seen my vector drawing?

Thanks for the reply.

Charles

I dont think you have any idea what you are in for!  That is if the engine ever sees fuel and if history teaches us anything it probably won't. But time will tel?
