Fuel Tanks

Hey guys!  Tommy from Livingston Tx. here....Back in the mid-60's bladder type  fuel tanks were popular.  Is there any such thing around any more ?

Yes , most speed limit and all F2D combat flyers use them . For tubing and fittings see Phil Cartier .

If you visit the local combat field you will find plenty of up to date knowledge about using them .

Hmm.  I think when you get to that point in your geezerhood you tend to move over to Stunt, don't you?

I'm about to start a Voodoo kit build and I'm sure I'll have to decide on which tank to use. At this point I'm sure I'll have some questions about fuel tanks for that model. I'm thinking maybe a Bladder type might be the way to go since it will be an "inside the wing" application  . Any thoughts ?

The tank of choice is the pacifier.  Even with the bulging compartment, it's the course of least resistance.  You would be hard-pressed to get a bladder inside a thin wing like the Voodoo without something of a bulge.

You will see lots of World Champion planes with pacifier bulges.
