OS Max 50 FSR
« on: November 08, 2010, 06:56:53 PM »
Hi guys,

Has anyone played with the OS 50 FSR?? I know my OS 40 FSR is a great great engine, wouldn't trade her for nothing, runs very cool and wow she performs. I keep waiting for the run away I've heard about, just hasn't happened yet but I'm sure it will. Just give her sometime and she'll get tired of me and do the mean thing. If anyone has played with the OS 50 FSR please let me know how she's worked out for ya???

Thanks Gary

The 50 FSR came along a little late in the FRS line up and as a result not a whole lot of them made it into the R/cC or C/L community. It is a Dykes ring set up like a K&B 40 and wasn' t a bad runner. But how it would run as a C/L stunt engine, I can't say. Parts are not plentiful for this engine so don't break anything.

Hi Dennis,

Thank you for the information, you're correct it has a dykes ring. Seems to run well, just not like the abc 40 fsr. I don't believe it would be worth the trouble to place this engine in a plane. To big, don't seem to have the power as other engines the same size. Its just a nice looking engine, seems well build but for control line?????? Don't think so, Gary
