Title: Fuel tank feed line
Post by: Brian Massey on July 22, 2009, 05:19:36 PM
I'm setting up my new plane with an LA 46, rear needle valve setup. Should the outfeed line on the tank remain level with the venturi as on front mount nva's? Or, should I line up the tank the the elevated position of the nva?

This is the Trophy Trainer I've been working on. Hoping to fly next Sunday.

Thanks,

Brian

I beleive the center line of the tank is lined up with the engine on profile airplanes.  Usually run feed line below to the nipple on the spray bar as the needle valve is on top for ease of adjusting.  Make provisions for moving tank up or down to get equal runs upright and inverted.  By the way, the pickup is centered on rear outboard side of the tank.  Have fun and the plane looks great,  DOC Holliday
