Looking thru my engines, I ran across a Fox 35 with "Stallion" embossed on the side of the crankcase. I have the following information on the engine; ~^
1. The Owners Manual has a date of Nov 25, 1978,
2. The WT, DISP, RPM, and PROP has the same info as the standard Fox 35,
3. There are 4 screws that holds on the backplate,
4. There are no bosses for a muffler to bolt to.
How is this Fox Stallion engine different than the regular Fox engine.

I'll be interested in the comments on this post, because I have a "Stallion 35", but I don't think it's a Fox. I think I read somewhere that it is a cheaper McCoy(if that's possible), or a "knock-off" from one of the other engine makers. Also, it's quite a bit heavier than a Fox 35. Glen

Sure sounds like a K&B Stallion 35. y1

Same thing I was thinking!! :o

Come to think of it, mine is probably the K&B. It looks a lot like a Torpedo 35 I had in an earlier life. The Stallion I have has a black venturi insert made of some kind of black plastic, if that means anything. Glen

Hi Michael,
It is a K&B if it says Stallion on it. The same overall look of the Green Head K&B except for the exhaust pointing down when profile mounted. It was a lower cost engine to compete with the McCoy Red Head 35. Fox did the same thing with it's "Rocket" 35.
They had a black plastic ventrui restrictor.

There is no way I can adequately describe to you guys the relief I'm experiencing from knowing that what I've got is a K&B Stallion. Now, maybe I can get a decent night's sleep. Z@@ZZZ. I had made a pretty significant investment in this engine ($5), and the uncertainty and buyer's remorse was getting to me. Thanks again!!!! Glen
