Folks;
I was just recently gifted about 40 Brand New Fox Idle Bar Glow plugs.
Wondering if they are any good for use in our stunt motors...........
I normally use O'Donnell Red Hot plugs. (can not get these any more)
Thanks for your response guys.

If I remember or my sources were correct, FOX made the glow plugs for Tower Hobby. I've had plugs from both sources. Decent plugs in my opinion. H^^

I used Fox plugs a lot back in the day, but only for brief experiment on modern engines. The only problem I had with then was yield, of the 40, I think you will be lucky to find that 20 of then are any good. That's still OK, they were free, but I would strongly suggest you test them first, don't open the package in an emergency at a contest, and expect that it will work.

Hello
I always liked the Fox long reach idle bar plugs in my older engines and found they worked well in modern engines too but are not as durable as my favorite the K&B long reach idle bar both are still available from Mecoa at $13.99 and 12.99 respectively see:

A lot of modern plugs without idle bars get 'put out' or run too cold if you try four stroke an old engine (baffle piston) and finding other plugs for them at the local hobby stores locally is impossible and I would be forced to go electric (or FP or LA) if it weren't for Ebay or Mecoa on classic/vintage models where I like old 'period' engines.

Try them to see what results you get before discounting them as inferior. I had good results with them but heard the last runs before Fox closed weren't the same.

thanks guys
might give them a go on the test stand with one of my motors this weekend.
