Bob,
Have you tried phoning Lew? I think I heard he doesn't much like email. BigIron, any ideas? Lew's Silver Fox is a gem, worth reaching him about it.
The 1970's C-Series ST 35's, as I hear, came in two versions - flat-top piston and baffled piston. The baffled-piston engine is considered much more suitable for stunt than the flat top. Look in the exhaust port with the piston down: the baffle - or fence - should be obvious if it is there.

His engines are available through RSM distribution:

Hi Lou,
From personal experience (what ever good that is! LOL!!) I can say the flat top ST 35C will run a pretty good "wet 2", but not a 4-2.
Sir Thomas of Luper had a baffle piston ST 35C that would 4-2 as aggod as any stunt engine I have ever seen. Don't have a clue as to what if anything had been done to it.
I have two very nice running flat top ones now, but I would rather have the baffle since I like a 4-2 run! I will admit, though, that when I was building my Spacehound, I was very tempted to put in the flat top and run it like Juri did the original. 10-4 prop and let it wind on up! The Spacehound ended up with a ST 46. ;D
