What would cause a fox 35 to break a con rod just below the wrist pin? I was using a 9-6 MA and sig 10/20 fuel. It was running great and just started to lean out because the tank was low. The needle was still where it was set at the beginning of the flight. I would like to find out if it was something I did so I dont do it again. Thanks.

I once had a Fox 35 which broke a rod because the bottom rod bearing got real sloppy and was clanking around. I don't remember just where it broke. I would recommend sending it back to Fox. Their repair service is great, and maybe they will determine it is a manufacturing defect, and repair it for little or no cost.

David , the recommended fuel for Foxes was at least 25% oil , maybe that
was your problem .
