Title: Fox .19
Post by: James Holford on April 16, 2016, 03:47:22 PM
I'm getting a fox .19 with an R/C carb.. I could wire it open but is it interchangeable for a C/L venturi?

James, is yours the .19 with the rectangular base carb? If you could get a pic up, it would be easier to help you identify the right parts.

Cool, see if those interchange. If so, let me dig around and see if i have another fox venturi i can send you. I believe they are the same size up to a .25. Well, the base anyway

In fact ol Buddy I just order the Jr. Lightening Streak from Brodak... couldn't pass up that deal for 34$...  so may put the coming Fox.19 in it and the .19 from you in a Flying Clown from Brodak for some OTS fun :)

That's the plan anyways lol

Is that a Ringmaster Triplane ?!?!?!?

My assumption is that the wood selection is exceptional. I'll open the box in a little bit when i get home. I'm not sure about the cutting method.

And Yep! That's Pat King's Tri45 kit. It's a conversation starter any where i take it. Even all the RC guys at the field shut down operations to watch it fly. It's got a Magnum 52 four stroke on it.

James, i keep failing to update you here, sorry.
I opened the box, and its die cut parts. The parts like the ribs will need to be cut out with your razor, but they are not crunched. The wood is really nice. I'll say it's good quality like a SIG akromaster, but the added benefit of having full size plans. Also, the lead outs complete kit is included. So i would say darn good money spent on this thing.

My plan is to build this as light as possible for a Cox td 09. Or medallion 09.

I've seen an akromaster on a fox 19 and it was awesome. This thing is like the same dimensions, well close. The akromaster is 34" at 250squares and this streak is 31" at 230 squares.

Oh yea buddy. Mine came in yesterday (3 days is all it took).  Went thru the kit quickly and kinda regret trading off my OS .10 now lol.  That fuselage is LIGHT!!  I think I may try to get a smaller engine for it or use the Enya .15 that I was gona put on the Akromaster and put the Fox .19 I got in yesterday as well on it. But will need to replace the Venturi as the needle is froze and when I try to adjust the entire carb spins around... big no no.

But overall I'm ready to start that Streak!!!!  It's so tiny!

Yep, same venturi as the Fox 25 cl bushing engine with 4 screw back plate.

Thank you Bill.

The 25 & 19 intakes ARE the same. even identical .

Found 6 or 7 turns on the needle for stunt on 10 or 20 % N . in zee twins .

Theres later retimed 19s & 25s with the steel prop driver , both with 1/4 propshafts .
