I think that I have found an FP 35- S engine, don't have it in hand yet,so I'm asking which set up is best in your opionion.
The iron piston, or the ABN?
I am leaning toward the ABN set up.
Your thoughts and why??

My understanding was that the FP 35 was only available with the iron piston, the FP 40 came both ways, and of those the ABN was the one which was prone to run away issues.
for the 35, a venturi, ( seems like around a .270) , something like an 11x5 apc, or 11.5 x5.5 apc good fuel with at least 22% oil ( half castor) is how I run them..

I run mine with a .253 or so (from 20FP) venturi, extra head gasket, RSM 10x6 prop. More consistent than its big brother the FP-40S. 8)

Thanks for the reply's guy's.. Running a ST needle assy with a .257-.266 venturi, don't remember right now, added a .010 head shim, with 10-22 fuel, 3 oz is giving just over 6 min..
Seems to be a good runner...

I ran mine with a blocked boost port and a .265 venturi.
