Title: Evolution 60 ??
Post by: Bill Little on August 08, 2015, 12:16:20 PM
OK, Gentlemen, I tried the search function but no luck. ???

How much fuel is needed with the stock set up for the pattern?  I have a possible candidate for this engine and the fuel tank size it limited.  Will be using 5% nitro the majority of the time.

Also, what % of oil is the best choice?  All synthetic?

Thanks!
Bill

This engine was provided with specific instructions as to which fuel to use. Some people thought they knew better and used the wrong fuel
and said the engine did not run well. Use what is recommended by manufacture all synthetic 17-18 per cent oil fuel such as Cool
Power See the many posts on this Pete Cuna ,Bill Hummel , Mike Massey have all commented on this I have seen Mikes planes fly with
this motor excellent stunt run.

With the smaller venturi, and the RECOMMENDED fuel, we were using about 5.75 ounces per flight.  Nice
traditional soft 4/2/4 run, excellent starting character hot or cold. Virtually no vibration as well!  Sorry they
are no longer available...

I do have this engine (EVOE0600) with C/L venturi setup.
Very good power/weight ratio and the same mounting holes pattern like Jett 60

Will try both it in my modified Score.

I use Powermaster, 10% R/C fuel. 5.5 ounce tank and it takes about 5 1/4 ounces for the pattern. I'm sure full synthetic would work but regular R/C blend works fine and is easier to find. Prop is an RSM 12x5.5 (currently unavailable of course) but a Zoar or any other good quality 12x5 or 12x6 should work as well.  8)
