I have had this problem with other engines in the past and the problem seems to be that the piston catches on the inside of the cylinder preventing the cylinder from entering the case. I do not think that the cylinder is eccentric as there seems to be not tight spot. Sometimes, I can get the cylinder to easily slide into the case but today it was a nightmare! I have seemed to have the best luck with the piston turned to TDC. Perhaps this is incorrect. I finally gave up and increased the chamfer on the i.d. of the cylinder with my trust Dremel tool. I have done this in the past with success but it seems a bit crude. Sometimes a man must do what a man must do! Lol
Oh yes, I used a copious amount of oil on all of the parts!
