Does anyone know if the Enya 61 CX pro side exhaust motor is still available.

Not at the moment. It's still shown in their online catalogue, but not in the online store. They seem to do production runs of stuff every so often, with big gaps in between. The 61CX last appeared about 18 months ago - I grabbed a RE one straight away, which was lucky as they were sold out in a couple of weeks. Hopefully they'll do another run soon, but who knows? AFAIK there was only ever one batch of the 32CX.

I've just seen a credible suggestion that they're planning another run of the 61CX, so it might pay to keep an eye on their website.

It is rumored that Enya will produce 61CX series in this autumn and will switch the PC from ring to lap. It is not certain S?P

WOW!WOW! (double WOW!) %^@ Thanks for the head's up. Sounds like a return of the ABC hi-zoot piston that the first SE version had. This is good. I prefer the ABC P&L over the previous ringed version and that red head looks cool. I did the math: 333 g = 11.75 ounces, 22000 yen = $203.70 (probably more when it gets here). 8)

If history runs true - it is the real deal but may be awhile in coming. Once here, get 'em if you want 'em because they will sell out quick and won't be back for awhile...if ever. 8)

It looks nice, but how does the Enya rear exhaust .61 run? I know the quality should be great, but they don't seem all that popular in the US, so how do they stack up against the other "pro stunt" rear exhaust .61's? Would it be good paired with a pipe, or just a rear muffler? What kind of run would the Enya give? I'm just a bit curious to hear a report from someone who has used one a bit.

I've been using one for some time in an SV-11 with Randy's header and tube muffler. It came originally with a 7.5mm venturi but before I ran it I swapped it out for the 8mm that came with a 60-IIIB. Prop is an Eather 2B 13.5x5 CF set at 7800 ground revs (just barely below a slight 2 stroke break) which gives a lovely 4-2-4 run. I don't use nitro so a 4 ounce (120cc) uniflowed clunk tank gives just under a 6 minute flight time, perfect for the FAI 7 minute limit. Also I don't use muffler pressure.
After about 40 flights I made a new head button to raise the compression considerably (12.4:1) to be better suited to the zero nitro fuel and that made a big difference to the power as well as extending the 4 stroking range. The stunt version comes with a low compression head button (8.8:1 as measured on mine) which apparently is identified by a small dimple alongside the plug. Presumably the RC version with higher compression has no dimple.

I use Randy's header and pipe, Eather 3-blade 13X3.75, or Bolly 2-blade 13X4.25 repitched to 4.5, 10% nitro, stock venturi.
Get great runs, very powerful engine.
Will get me a couple of the new one for sure...

Hello,
I spoke with Alberto Parra (an Enya dealer). He said that as far as he could understand, Enya was going to produce the rear exhaust version of the 61 in December and the side exhaust was scheduled for the new year.

I see that the 61CXLS is already sold out. I am hoping that they do a run of the side exhaust soon as I would like to get one of them.
