Title: Enya .45 PL Pro mods ?
Post by: Rob Killick on January 04, 2008, 10:27:14 PM
Hi ,

I recently purchased an Enya .45 S PL Pro .
The engine has four muffler mount holes (the wide holes are through holes and the narrow hole spacing are blind threaded holes) .
My question is this ...

Can I mill off the outside through hole lugs , as to save a little weight ? I can always fit a tongue muffler to the blind holes . It looks like I have plenty of "meat" to spare .
Might this damage the engine ?
I have some very competent machinist at the machine shop I work at that can do the job for me , so I'm not really worried about any mess-ups .
Any recommendations ?

Thanks in advance  y1

Hi Rob

I would not do  that, you will loose  almost  no weight at all and  will take a chance of chips in the motor or damage taking it apart  plus you will loose the ability  to use a Bolt on tube muffler.  It just is not worth the  effort
