Title: Enya 45 6001 prop shaft extension?

Hi Guys,

I have an Enya 45 6001 that I would like to use in an airplane, but it needs a prop shaft extension.

The Enya 45 has a 7x1mm threaded shaft. All the Fox adapters are english units.

Anyone make a 7x1mm extension?

ps. Extension length is 1/2" or thereabouts metric.

Hi, Chris, if no good ideas pop up here, I'd suggest contacting Jim Lee at Lee Machine Shop. He has made various bits and pieces for stunt engines over the years. I believe he can help you with this problem!  Might also call Randy Smith to see what he has or can get for you.  Happy hunting!

Hi Chris,

Did you manage to source a suitable 1/2" prop shaft extension for the Enya 45 6001?

I recently picked up a set of Stiletto 660 Foam Wings & see the plan calls out for a 1/2" extension. Will likely be fitting an Enya so am now looking for the same item...

 if i have the engine ,i can make a spinner backplate with the 1/2 in ex  to fit the spinner then make the prop nut and adapter to fit everything together ..i use a S/T type collet to mate to the shaft

How many pennies are these there extended prop drives .

Need on for a .46 ST , so'd replace prop driver & increase stock length 3/4 or 1 inch , to Brodack 1 3/4 spinner .

unless we go a little more technical , with a 1 7/8 prop cover washer with uncut 1 3/4 forward , for now .
as a freewheel contra prop in front'd need a few more bits . and WEIGH MORE , which is likely unacceptable .

1 " would get the motor further back , so is preferable, thanks .

Thanks very much Bob, will keep this in mind. The Stiletto build is still some time away yet - the Foam Wing Set was an impulse purchase #^ as it's not exactly a frequent find downunder...

A check of the Brodak catalogue revealed a 1/2" extension for 7mm Shafts intended for the larger Saito Engines..with 1/4-28 threads ready for a spinner retaining bolt. P/N BH-987 refers. Now on order with my local dealer :). Too easy.
