I used the 6001 for many years back in the 60's-70's with great success and was sometimes asked by other flyers (like Peter White) how I got it to run like an ST46. All I could say was that it was bog standard and all I did was fill the tank and go fly

. Later I bought a 6002 when they first came out with the thought that newer should be better. Unfortunately it wasn't as good for stunt, not that there was anything bad about it, but the run was quite different being timed more for RC so it went into a drawer where it remains today.
