Enya .29
« on: July 27, 2010, 10:15:20 PM »
I found an old Enys .29 that neets some tlc.  This particular wngine has a black plstic venturi insert.  Would it be safe to crockpot this with the insert in place?  All my other Enya's have metal inserts.  This is a square plastic insert.

Arn't the inserts removable  ??? Don't know if the crock pot gets hot enough to hurt them or what the anti-freeze would do.

Remove anything that is plastic.  Just don't ask me why and I won't tell no lies. H^^

If the engine is a Model 5224 the insert is theromoset plastic (Bakelite) and will not be affected by a crock pot. If the engine is a Model 5103 I would take the insert out before you put the engine in the crock pot. I don't know what those inserts are made of.

Many of those have a thin neoprene gasket, it needs to be removed along with the NVA and venturi
